Mindful Parenting: Cultivating Acceptance and Compassion
As parents, we strive to be loving, patient, and kind with our children. We are thoughtful about what they need, and do the best we can to meet these complex needs each day, every day. It’s a very big job sometimes! As any parent knows, waking for the 4th or the 10th time each night, you might feel all sorts of things in those moments and it is difficult to feel so patient. We get caught up in our own judgment, concern about the judgment of others, we doubt ourselves and second-guess. Join me (from the comfort of your home!) to explore ways to practice mindful awareness and self-compassion. If we want to be loving and kind to our children, we have to start right here!
We’ll explore the science behind mindful awareness and compassion meditation and learn simple techniques for bringing this awareness into our day.
