I had a girls’ night out to see the documentary, Free the Mind. It highlights some of the work that is being done at the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds. We all had a similar reaction- that we wanted to see more of the research summarized on the benefits of meditation. But the work they did highlight is important and demonstrated 40% reduction in symptoms and a similar increase in improved sleep in subjects that were suffering from PTSD. You also can see work with children modeled… a quite touching opportunity to watch a young child cultivating deeper compassion and working through fears. Most definitely worth checking out.
